Working Process at
HOUSING AUTHORITY PRINCETON KY!

Home How We Work

We are committed to producing nothing less than world-class services. Our work process is recognized for its depth of thought, clarity of purpose, boldness of vision and impact.

Housing units operated by the Housing Authority of Princeton KY are considered “conventional public housing units”. The Housing Authority of Princeton KY consists of two family developments. One is our Hillview Court community; the other is our Hyacinth Village community. Our monthly rent is based on household income. Section 8 is not available at our facilities.

We have an application process. Potential residents must have a social security card, birth certificate, and proof of income for everyone who will be in the household. The application is filed and background checks are implemented. Once all information is processed the applicant(s) will be placed on a waiting list. The length of the waiting list is determined by several factors, one of which is elderly and disabled go ahead of others.

All of our units have been recently remodeled, including new kitchens and baths. Our staff is diligent in maintaining the integrity of each apartment and surrounding grounds. The landscaping has been recently updated and is well maintained.

Rent In our Hillview Court community includes utilities up to a predetermined amount. Most are equipped with washer/dryer hook-ups.

Each household in the Hyacinth Village community is responsible for utilities. There is a community laundry mat on the premises. Both communities have a basketball court, and a playground for the children.

We want our residents to have the enjoyment of owning a pet. However we do have a few rules that everyone must abide by in our pet policy. We require a pet deposit, and a yearly fee, which is determined by the type of pet.

We have community services that focus on the enlightenment of our residents. This service provides educational seminars for our adults, as well as day trips and other fun activities. We provide a weekly shopping trip to all of our local stores. Our young residents are offered an after school program, that combines fun with educational activities. The monthly newsletter advises of upcoming activities, current events in our community, and sometimes contests to win a specific prize relating to the season.
